Story synopsis: Synopsis: Laura a student in journalism comes across a story about
a commonly used drug. According to the story a common side effect is a temporary
memory loss. As she was dreaming to find a more interesting project, she presents
the idea to her school and with the agreement from her professor she takes that as
a research study. She teams with Larson another journalist on Sabbatical. After
research and discussions Laura and Larson discover an intriguing, important
out-of-country partner of the drug manufacturer. Some more investigation
reveals that the partner is a mailing address visited monthly by a mysterious
character. Laura feels she's followed and she returns to her city where secretly
contacts and meets Alan. They get together at Larson's cottage and they
formulate several scenarios. The cottage lights go out. Next scene shows
Laura and Alan meeting and introducing to each other as if they have never met before.

Roles wanted to fill: Laura is a student in the 3rd year at Carleton U. She is bored
with her current mundane assignments and craves more challenge. She is single, living
with her father. She has an outgoing, inquisitive personality searching for the spotlight.
Despite her easygoing personality, she experiences mood swings as a result of self doubts.
She is at a crossroad in her quest for a suitable career and more.

Alan -male, Anglophone or Francophone-with good command of English,
age 30-40ish, medium build.  As an assistant professor at the University he had
a spectacular career due to his hard work in the finance domain. A little bit geeky
he is almost stereotypical academic career type. He is not feeling out-of place and
he's satisfied with his current situation. He took a one year sabbatical to finish
his financial-related work. He's a more reserved, balanced and distant personality type.

Laura's Father (male, Anglophone or Francophone-with good command of English,
age 50ish) . Fatherly kind of personality. Can cook amazing dishes. He lost his wife
due to illness and Laura is his only child. He's interested in her career and he's accustomed
to her personality. He was hoping Laura will follow Law but he is supportive
and understanding with her current path. He's secretly hoping it's just a temporary situation.

MASSIMO. Italian Landlord and Ideally speaks some Italian. Male 40, very heavy
English accent.. Jovial.

Laura's Father Colleague. Male 30-50 Anglophone, white collar. He will introduce the
story to Laura's father.

University Professor. Male 35+.

Khaled.  Male over 35.  Heavy built. Good command of English. Can have an accent.
Works in Statistics far Treasury Board. He's the Deep Throat.

Dana -Interpreter. Female 20-40, heavy English accent. Ideally speaks Italian
She helps Laura to find the location of the foreign company and warns her of being followed

Stalker-hit man .Male 30-50, robust, The role is non-speaking, so non-verbal communication skills are more important.

Other Extras

Other comments: The initial post got a lot of responses that filled up the mailbox. We did not realize that the mailbox was full for a while, so many potential actors did not get the chance to submit. This additional information expands on the initial posting and extends the deadline for applications. The mailbox is ready to accept files of any size.
