Synopsis
---------
An offbeat comedy follows a young woman's struggle to find herself. Set against the backdrop of her dysfunctional family, this film moves through flashbacks and fantasies, looking for the meaning of life. Or at least five minutes of peace and quiet.

Claire soon finds that love of family is the tie that binds... in her case, like a straight jacket.

Auditions will be held April 20^th in Ottawa .  Call backs to be determined.

Filming in September/ 09

Actors are responsible for their own travel & accommodations, and off-set meals.

Female lead: Claire Ethnicity: Caucasian Females, aged 20 to 25 Energetic, slightly crazy, lovable, slightly overweight, passionate. Carries the film. (Must be able to pass for 16 in flashbacks)

Mother Ethnicity: Caucasian Females, aged 44 to 55 Hormone crazed, overprotective, but supportive.

Father Ethnicity: Caucasian Males, aged 45 to 55 Long suffering, passive-aggressive, slightly out of touch.

Dante Ethnicity: Native American Males, aged 18 to 25 Slightly geeky, cute, funny, expressive. (Must be able to pass for 16 in flashbacks)

Tina Ethnicity: any Females, aged 20 to 24 Outspoken, sexually charged, athletic, smoker

Doctor Ethnicity: any Males, aged 25 to 30 from Canada Young looking, character role, sexual predator, but more weird than frightening

Younger brother Ethnicity: Caucasian Males, aged 18 to 21 from Canada Geek, more interested in his gameboy than girls or real life.

Older brother Ethnicity: Caucasian Males, aged 20 to 25 from Canada jerk, thinks bathroom humour is the highest form of humour.

Sex store clerk Ethnicity: any Females, aged 24 to 35 from Canada Passionate about her job, slightly creepy, very pushy.

Yoga instructor Ethnicity: any Females, aged 25 to 30 from Canada must know yoga, and be good enough to be believable as a teacher.

Assorted character roles, extras Ethnicity: any Any gender, aged 18 to 45 from Canada Accountants to waiters, all races, sexual orientations welcome.
