Story synopsis: Lots of laughs, groovin' tunes, and a love story
to die for! Live music from blues to burlesque to boogie to
Broadway. A young woman builds up dreams of stardom, and finds

Roles wanted to fill: Desiree Devine, the Diva (female lead) --
Desiree, a lunch waitress whose real name is Dolores Pitt, is a
small-town girl with attitude. She's old enough to know better
... but young enough to dream. (Looks 28-35 years old). She
sings two songs and participates in others, including a
beautiful love song. Vocal ability required. Professional
music/vocal coaching provided.
Other comments: We're re-casting this role on short notice, as
our Diva has time constraints and can't make rehearsals. Group
rehearsals are Mon & Wed evenings. Some one-on-ones for script
and music are also necessary.
The part of Desiree Devine is the lead, but it's not a difficult
role, and we have a strong group energy. With a bit of catch-up
work, the right person could pick up this role quickly.
