Story synopsis: An average suburban housewife discovers two
secret taped confessions-one from her husband and one from her
son. From these tapes, she learns of the sexual abuse her son
endured at the hands of her husband and she must now face the
difficult task of deciding what to do-or not to do-next.
Roles wanted to fill: A male actor 15 years of age or younger
willing to play the role of a boy who was abused by his father
in the recent past. Part of the role involves reading a
monologue. This job is a volunteer position, but there's plenty
of opportunity to gain experience for future serious roles.
A male actor between 6 and 9 years old to play the younger
version of the teenage character mentioned above. The character
is easily excitable. But the actor must be mature enough to
handle a serious scene concerning child abuse. This role is
small and has only a few lines.
A male actor between 35 and 45 years old who is willing to play
a father who abused his son. There is a monologue required for
this role.
A female actor between 35 and 45 years old to play a mother. An
ideal actor is someone who is talented in a variety of facial
expressions. This character has very few lines and thus must be
able to say a lot through their facial expressions.
Other comments: This is a short film of less than 10 minutes.
All work is unpaid.
